Fort Night

A few weeks ago we made a fort for the boys in our family room and watched the Golden Compass together. They thought it was the coolest thing ever so we (Ben, Jack and I) even ended up spending the night in the fort, indoor camping as the the boys called it!

I know it's been a month...............

since my last blog.

I am going to try to keep up better with my blogging this summer......promises, promises.

The kids have been out of school almost one week now and we've managed to see & do quite a bit. Here are some photos from our outing to the Magnus Tree and Nature Park, as you can see in the photos the kids really enjoyed themselves, especially in the second to last photo where Ben and Jack are playing swords with big sticks they found (boys will be boys)!

A Picnic at the Park

The boys are out of school today and tomorrow for teacher conferences, so we went to the park and had a small picnic (provided by Wendy's) then played a bit afterwards. The weather was decent and we were so thankful to have a break from the rain. As everyone knows, kids (especially boys!!!!) need to run and play, and if they can't, that energy comes out in other ways (like on our house and on each other). So, to avoid WWIII at the Riddle home, we ran, climed, swung and slid our bottled up energy away (for the time being).............
